Companions is transforming lives through technology-enabled and innovative housing, supported living, employment and meaningful day supports. Services are provided for participants with moderate to severe disabilities in the traditional and self-directed models.

Companions’ services challenge longstanding beliefs that people are incapable of financial freedom and must resign their fate to restrictive group settings. With the right combination of earned income, SSI, rent subsidies, and home sharing, people are rising to meet expectations, moving out of family homes or group settings into homes of their own.

The men and women supported live vibrantly in own homes with one or more roommates, and with as much staffing supports as they choose. They engage actively in the community through gainful employment, social participation, volunteering, and lifelong learning.
