Our philosophy is driven by our values regarding the right of individuals with disabilities to be included as active members of their communities and to live their lives with dignity and respect. Our services will be provided in the most humane and motivating way to support people and encourage them to be active members of the community. The individuals we serve will participate in activities and settings in proximity to, and in interaction with, their non-disabled peers, coworkers, and fellow community members. Individuals and families served by COIPSS have the right of choice and flexibility regarding what, how and where their services are provided. Individuals and families will be empowered to make decisions, become partners, and collaborate cooperatively with professionals, and exert control over the services provided to them.
