Worcester County Health Department

The Worcester County Health Department is certified by the Maryland Department of Health, Developmental Disabilities Administration to provide Coordination of Community Services in Worcester, Wicomico and Somerset counties. Our services include eligibility assistance, referral and related activities, and transition, waiting list, and community coordination services. Individuals enrolled in a Medicaid waiver program receive support in developing their person-centered plan as well as ongoing monitoring of their services. We base our services on the principles of self-determination, personal empowerment, inherent rights and dignity, community integration and nondiscrimination. Our coordinators are sensitive and responsive to age and cultural differences, and are supportive of individual rights and values. We strive to meet the highest standards for both health and safety for the individuals we serve to promote quality of life.
